报告题目:Hydraulic Processes in fractured rock under geothermal relevant flow(地热开发过程中裂缝性储层内的流动)

报 告 人:Dr. Thomas Kohl(教授、博导)

报告时间:09月25日15:00-17:00

报告地点:全国重点实验室A403学术报告厅

报告人简介:Dr. Thomas Kohl received his PhD from ETH Zürich, and became an associate professor at ETH Zürich in 1999 and joined Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (KIT) as a full professor in 2010. He holds the chair of the Division of Geothermal Energy and Reservoir Technology at the Institute for Applied Geosciences and is head of the Helmholtz geothermal program at KIT. He was the co-founder and the Editor-in-Chief of the now well-established journal Geothermal Energy. Currently, he is member in scientific boards, e.g., as a sub-program leader in EERA – JPGE, the German Geophysical Society or the IASPEI Heat Flow Commission. Dr. Kohl is author of over 100 peer-reviewed articles.

报告内容:Geothermal relevant fluid flow in fractured rock is considered to be of major importance and the binding element of the individual investigations. Earlier field experiments indicate the need for a new characterization of high flow rates by Navier-Stokes flow along rough surfaces. New emphasis is given into closing a scale gab between small lab-scale and field scale flow experiments. The research focus extends from hydro-chemistry, over geophysics to the complexity of coupled numerical solutions. The presentation will focus on the observation and the evaluation of these complex hydraulic regimes.
